Nike Epic React Flyknit Hits NIKEiD

Following an official retail debut back in February, Nike’s Epic React Flyknit is being touted as the best new running shoe on the market. Coveted for its lightweight and stylish sensibility coupled with the overwhelmingly positive response of React cushioning, Nike appears to be opening the flood gates for the shoe with its implementation on NIKEiD.

The NIKEiD Epic React Flyknit, though, is different from other shoes that have previously landed on the customization platform. It’s been parsed into five “run clubs” from around the globe. Each stands as one part of the iD process. Nike break them down like this:

Tokyo’s Athletics Far East run crew’s design palette honors the Tokyo subway map. Koreatown Run Club in Los Angeles created a palette primarily inspired by the Korean flag. Seoul’s Private Road Running Club’s design features the Corinthian helmet logo and gold accents to symbolize the crew’s marathon achievements and victories to come. One Crew from Shanghai used nature-inspired tones that nod to clouds, dawn and the medals they strive for, along with the Chinese symbol for “fly.” Amsterdam streetwear label Patta and London’s Track Mafia partnered up on a triple black version meant to channel the fearless nature of city culture.

Traditional methods of customization for the NIKEiD Epic React are live today here. But if you’d like to utilize one of the Crew builds, you’ll have to wait until May 10.
